Wiper Party Leader Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka has said that he is happy with the ruling of the Supreme Court. This is after Chief Justice David Maraga and six judges of the court asked the Independent Electoral Boundaries Commission (IEBC) to conduct fresh polls.

However, Justice Njoki Ndung’u and Prof Ojwang Jackton were of the opinion that President Uhuru won fairly.

Kalonzo urged NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga to go back to the drawing board ahead of another election. He further said that he was impressed with the openness in which the election was conducted.

“You can see the openness with which these proceedings were conducted. Therefore, I am happy to be a Kenyan today and I call to my brother that will have to as senior counsel has just said will have to deeply look into the conduct of the electoral commission," he said.

On his part, Raila has said that it is evident that the electoral commission compromised with the electoral process.

"It is now clear that the entire edifice of IEBC is rotten. Clear evidence shows that the commission was taken over by criminals who ran the elections using the technology system and resulted in a computer-generated leadership for the people," Raila said in his address after the petition victory.
