According to Nairobi News, Kalonzo term was extended when attended the graduation at the university. The former vice president has been a vice chancellor at the institution since 2013. In his address to the institution’s students, Kalonzo challenged them to work towards their dreams.
“If you want to change the world; somebody sent me the following clip; begin by making up your bed, because you must by now have realized that little things matter and if you cannot fix the little things, then, you will find it almost impossible to change the bigger things,” as quoted by the local daily.
The National Super Alliance (NASA) presidential running mate extension of term as VC comes after he was allegedly barred from leaving the country. The incident that allegedly occurred at the Jomo Kenyatta International airport (JKIA) attracted mixed elicited debate with the opposition faulting President Uhuru Kenyatta over the matter.
The government has, however, downplayed the speculations that Kalonzo was barred from leaving for the ceremony in Uganda.
