Governor Ngilu appeared before the NCIC, being chaired by Francis Ole Kaparo, concerning an incident in her county, where a lorry carrying charcoal was burnt down by residents.

Kalonzo who led other lawyers in this case told journalists that his client is a person of integrity who cannot incite people.

The Wiper party leader explained that Ngilu was only doing her job to protect the environment and asked Kalonzo the government to support her efforts.

‘‘I don’t think Governor Ngilu is capable of inciting anyone, she should be left alone and in fact be supported by the government in ensuring that the ban on charcoal is fully enforced,’’ Kalonzo said.

“NCIC have wasted our time because what they presented is not what we expected, governor Ngilu is being targeted politically, by those who want drought a national disaster in this country," he added.
