Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has issued a statement regarding, alleged freezing of his Foundation's bank accounts, and immediate suspension.
The Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) Coordination Board said it had suspended operations of the Kalonzo Musyoka Foundation, May 2, or allegedly failing to account for Sh146 million, donor funds.
However, Kalonzo made the following points, daring the government to make a move on him, Wednesday.
''The Kalonzo Musyoka Foundation (KMF).
First: I want to state that we have not received the highly publicized letter/document announcing the freezing of the Foundations accounts nor stopping the foundations operations.
Secondly: By law the Board has no powers to freeze any accounts unless with a court order.
Thirdly: I am reading political persecution and malice over this manufactured saga to malign my name.
The big question is, why did the board serve the media with the letter purporting to freeze the Foundations accounts but not the affected organization?.
Fourthly: I am inviting the government to arrest me over the fabricated money laundering charge.
Lastly: I know those behind these mischief and soon I will expose them; I am ready for any battle and political persecution, which is now and will come my way arising from my principled political decisions.''
