Wiper Party Leader Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka has said that President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto have intentions of establishing more polling stations across the nation with the aim of rigging the upcoming general election.
Kalonzo, former vice president, said that the leaders of the opposition are aware of Jubilee’s plan to rig out former Prime Minister Raila Amolo Odinga in the August General elections. Kalonzo also said that the opposition will not allow this to happen as we head to the August election.
“Voting in secret polling stations are some of the strategies that have been developed to manipulate the outcome of the August poll,” Kalonzo said, as quoted by Tuko.co.ke.
The lawmaker also called upon Independent Boundaries and Electoral Commission (IEBC) to remove underground cables used in the last general elections in order to thwart Jubilee’s plan to rig the forthcoming polls.
"We are asking them to remove the underground cables that were used last time to rig the elections by linking the national tally and the TNA tallying centre at the Catholic University through the Kencall,” Kalonzo added.
He further asked the electoral body to list all the polling stations in the country ahead of the elections to prevent plans of rigging.
