A loser in the Wiper Party nominations has reasons to smile again after she was nominated to the county assembly.
Grace Mutua’s loss in the Mwingi North parliamentary seat has turned out to be a blessing in disguise after she was nominated to join the Kitui county assembly.
The vocal politician came third during the party nominations in which a section of losers claimed were marred different elections malpractices such as rigging.
Paul Nzengu won the ticket following fierce competition from his rivals. The nominated MCA could not hide her joy following the new offer.
She pledged to fight for the rights of her people despite having lost during the nominations at the party level.
She also pledged to contribute towards the development of the region as well as the Party as she calculates her next move after the end of her term in office.
“I’m very happy. I will play a big role in building the Wiper party and our region,” she said on the phone, as quoted by Star.
The lawmaker further pledged to work with other leaders in the region for better development. Others who were nominated include Velesi Musyoka, Colletta Kimanzi and Mary Ndumbu.
