The leaders said Kalonzo is better suited to battle it out with President Uhuru Kenyatta in next years poll.

Speaking at a Wiper function in Mombasa on Tuesday, Wiper Secretary General Hassan Omar said in the last poll they overwhelmingly supported ODM leader Raila Odinga, and it was time for them to support Wiper before they hand over the baton to Ford Kenya’s Moses Wetangula in 2022.

“It is only fair that everyone has a fair chance to compete. Raila tried his luck in 2013 and we have every reason to believe that the polls were rigged. However, it is now Kalonzo’s time before we pave way for our younger brother in the coalition Moses Wetangula,” said Omar.

Omar, who is also the Mombasa senator, said he was confident that Jubilees time at the top was over.

“The government has only succeeded in drowning the country into unnecessary debts yet there is nothing tangible to show for the borrowed money,” said Omar.

The senator has now called upon all Cord supporters to register as voters to ensure that Jubilee is ousted in the next general election.

He further urged the three Cord principals to stick together in order to liberate the country.
