Nasa presidential running mate Kalonzo Musyoka, has hailed the Appellate Court, following a ruling that favoured the coalition.
Appellate judges Asike Makhandia, William Ouko and Agnes Murgor ruled that presidential election results declared at the constituency level during election, will be final.
IEBC filed the case, seeking clarification on whether the results should be declared final by the chairman, Wafula Chebukati, as the national Returning Officer.
Musyoka said Nasa was happy about the ruling, saying IEBC had been used by Jubilee government, to try to rig election from the constituency level, by asking the Court to declare presidential election results at the constituency level, not final until Chebukati confirms.
"I am a lawyer and I am very much impressed by the Court ruling. They (Jubilee) were planning to rig elections. But the Court has disapproved them. There will be no room for rigging anymore," said the Wiper Party leader.
He was speaking at Bungoma's Posta Grounds, Friday.
