Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has dismissed claims that Wiper is planning to ditch the National Super Alliance (NASA) ahead of the August 8 general election.

Kalonzo says that Wiper party is not going anywhere and that it is in NASA to stay.

Speaking when he presented his presidential nomination papers to the Wiper National Election Board (NEC) on Thursday, Kalonzo accused some media outlets and bloggers of fueling claims that Wiper plans to quit NASA.

“As Wiper, we have no plans of ditching NASA and contesting on our own as being speculated in some media and blogs,” he said.

The Wiper Party leader exuded confidence that he will be NASA’s presidential flag bearer to battle President Uhuru Kenyatta and other candidates in the August polls.

Kalonzo maintained that he is the best-suited candidate to send Jubilee government packing.

There have been speculations that Kalonzo held a private meeting with President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto in Mombasa last weekend.

Kalonzo has since refuted the claims saying that no one can influence him to ditch NASA.

The Wiper leader alongside other NASA top leaders Raila Odinga, Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula are seeking to fly NASA presidential ticket in the August polls.

Kalonzo’s presidential bid received a major boost on Monday after former Lands Cabinet Secretary Charity Ngilu pledged to support him.

Ngilu appealed to NASA leaders to endorse Kalonzo’s bid saying that he is the best-suited candidate to send Jubilee home in August.
