Wiper party boss Kalonzo Musyoka has dismissed claims doing rounds that he is set to leave the opposition coalition Nasa if he is not  named the presidential candidate.

Speaking on Friday, Kalonzo said that the utterances of National Assembly Minority Leader Francis Nyenze must be respected and viewed as a personal statement.

Kalonzo added that after making the remarks, Nyenze later confided in him that he did so after a provocation by Gem MP Jakoyo Midiwo.

"Anybody talking of bolting or leaving the party (Nasa), look at them. They are saboteurs, distractors and negative forces," Kalonzo told the press at the party headquarters in Nairobi.

He urged Kenyans to be patient as Nasa completes the process of settling on their presidential flag-bearer, adding that the four principals will have a meeting after the team mandated with the matter submits its report.

Kalonzo further  denied claims that he has been bribed by Jubilee to weaken the opposition,  saying he is a man of self respect and high integrity.
