Kalonzo, who spoke during a rally of the opposition in at the ASK Showground in Kapsabet, Nandi County said that a good number of projects the current administration is promising Kenyans were his brainchild including education.
“Most of the programs that Jubilee is claiming as their own, including free and compulsory primary education, were my brainchild while in the Kibaki government and we will do more if Nasa wins the August 8 General Election,” said, Mr Kalonzo Musyoka, also the Nasa presidential running mate as Nation quoted him.
The former Vice President’s remarks were backed by NASA torchbearer Raila Amolo Odinga who said that Jubilee’s greatest mistake was giving Kenyans promises that they are sure of not fulfilling as we head to the August polls.
The opposition leader, who is contesting for the Presidency for his fourth time, said that his government will change the lives of Kenyans, citing the agricultural sector that has witnessed a number of setbacks. Raila said that the current leadership has frustrated farmers, which his government will not allow to happen once he takes over.
“When we were in the Grand Coalition government, we offered Sh3,500 to maize farmers but the Jubilee government reduced the price to Sh2,200. Now it has imported maize from Mexico at Sh4,600, giving Kenyan farmers a raw deal,” he told the Jubilant crowd.
