Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka has joined the NASA leader Raila Odinga in supporting President Uhuru Kenyatta's administration.
This comes barely few months after his fall out with Raila following the latter's famous handshake with Kenyatta.
Kalonzo has also considered NASA co-principals Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula who are still holding grudges with their political competitors at a time the country needs to move forward.
Speaking during the National Prayer Breakfast meeting at Safari Park Hotel on Thursday, Kalonzo said there is no need whatsoever for leaders to be angry with political competitors at the expense of service delivery to Kenyans
“How I wish Musalia and Wetangula were here and I am sure they are watching and the nation is watching,” Kalonzo said.
In what looked like a U-turn of events, Kalonzo who never acknowledged the handshake between President Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila lauded the two leaders for ending political dissent.
“When it comes to being angry because of political outcomes, I think I was the number one culprit. One of the lessons I have learned is to never be angry at your political competitor," he added
President Uhuru and opposition leader Raila Odinga used the opportunity to apologize to each other for any wrongdoing meted out during the 2017 protracted electioneering period.
The secret meeting which resulted to the famous handshake between Raila and Uhuru on Friday, February 9, left the everyone guessing what was cooking between the two leaders. The opposition camp was sharply divided with the fate of the vibrant NASA coalition hanging in the balance.
