Speaking during a Maasai traditional ceremony in KIisaju village, Kajiado County on Saturday, Kalonzo said such utterances could plunge the country into chaos.

“It is very easy nowadays to identify one’s voice,” said Musyoka.

Musyoka further warns that if such remarks are not controlled, it will be detrimental as the country prepares to go to the polls on August 8.

Even though Duale has come out to strongly deny knowing the origin of the audio clip, most leaders are convinced that voice in the clip is his.

Kalonzo, just like many leaders from Ukambani is now calling on the government to take legal action against Duale, or he will write to the ICC to have him investigated for incitement.

“If anything happens in Garissa, he would have committed a crime under international law, which is forceful movement of citizens, and another one that is genocide,” added Kalonzo.

“Garissa has got all the 42 tribes of Kenya, and we live in harmony. Those remarks are not a representation of the Garissa people,” said Nathif Jama, Garissa County.

And speaking in different forums, Senator Johnston Muthama and David Musila held the same stance, calling on the government to act.

“When I saw Uhuru Kenyatta speak in Malindi, he swore to punish whoever will disrupt or try to threaten lives of Kenyans wherever they are. So, Mr President, if all you said in Mombasa was true, take action,” said Musila.
