Wiper Party will today (Friday) hold a fundraiser to bolster its role in National Super Alliance (NASA) campaigns ahead of the forthcoming general election.

The Wiper fundraiser comes a few days beforeRaila Odinga’s mega dinner that will bankroll his campaign as he seeks to become Kenya’s next president.

Raila is contesting for his fourth time after losing three times. The event is expected to be attended by different powerful politicians and businessmen including ANC’s Musalia Mudavadi, Ford Kenya’s Moses Wetang’ula and Isaac Rutto of Chama Cha Mashinani.

The fundraiser has been scheduled to go down at the function at Ole Sereni, along Mombasa Road. According to Wiper executive director Jared Siso the fundraiser will assist the political party in conducting its activities as it drums up support for Raila.

Raila will be contesting against President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto when that time comes. Sosio also said that the event will not have a guest of honor like most fundraisers.

“This function is open to everybody and there is no guest of honour. Everyone will be a guest of honour tomorrow [today]. You pay what you want to contribute to the party and come with a bank slip,” told the Star on Phone.
