Wiper Party leader Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka is set to meet the party aspirants eyeing the Machakos governorship in the forthcoming general polls as they seek to resolve their differences.

Speaking on his behalf, Wiper Party Secretary General Omar Hassan said that the political outfit has given former Chama Cha Uzalendo party leader Wavinya Ndeti, Deputy governor Bernard Kiala and outgoing East African Legislative Member Peter Mathuki time to hold talks in order to determine who between them will contest against Governor Dr Alfred Mutua.

Omar, also Mombasa Senator said that the party will have no choice but to hold primaries in the county if the trio fails to agree over the seat ahead of the August polls.

“If the three will not reach an agreement then we will have no option than to organise for a nomination exercise to allow the people of Machakos to determine who will be our candidate,” said Omar, as quoted by Nation.

The party canceled primaries citing plans of interference from outsiders including Machakos Governor Dr Alfred Mutua among others.

Kalonzo Musyoka is not ready to take chances after he promised to teach Mutua a lesson.
