Machakos county assembly Majority leader Joshua Mwonga has shot at Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka for involving Machakos governor Alfred Mutua with Deputy governors Benard Kiala's daughter kidnapping.
Speaking on Saturday in Masinga area, Mwonga who is also the member of county assembly for Masinga central noted that it was shameful for a respected leader like Kalonzo to accuse Mutua of kidnapping his deputy's daughter.
He observed that it wasn't time to point fingers at each other but instead find a solution to the problem."Yes, it's painful for every parent to have his child kidnapped and that's the time we should sympathise with him and not start politicizing such a case," said Mwonga.
He added that Mutua isn't the only aspirant for Machakos gubernatorial seat for him to be labeled a suspect since there are a handful others eyeing the seat,where he went ahead to note that even Kiala isn't a threat to Mutua for him to stoop so low.
He also dared Kalonzo to record statement with the police if he has evidence incriminating Mutua and if not he should stop defaming the governor.
On Friday, at a rally in Kibwezi Kalonzo Musyoka allegedly said that Machakos governor Dr Alfred Mutua should be questioned by the police concerning the missing DGs daughter.
Deputy governors daughter Benard Kiala was kidnapped on Wednesday where the kidnappers demanded a political ransom, demanding Kiala to drop his gubernatorial bid for Machakos county.
