Wiper Party leader and former vice president Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka has said that president Uhuru Kenyatta is hatching a plot to remain in power like Zimbabwe and Ugandan Presidents Robert Mugabe and Yoweri Kaguta Museveni respectively.
Speaking in Nyamira County on Sunday where he was rallied for support from the residents, Kalonzo said that UhuRuto government has hatched a plot to take advantage of their numbers in parliament in order to continue ruling the nation in perpetuity.
“There is a plan by Jubilee to use tyranny of numbers and remove the time limit of the serving president so that its leadership can remain in power forever,” he said.
He called upon the local residents to vote for Coalition of Reforms and Democracy since Jubilee has failed to fulfill the promises made during their campaigns before the last general elections.
“I ask Kenyans of goodwill to deny Jubilee a chance of forming the next government so that our country is not like Uganda and Zimbabwe where term limits for serving as President have been removed,” he said.
He added: It is sad that the Zimbabwean President has remained in power for too long...we cannot allow such to happen in our country.”
Kalonzo addressed the public at Kemera, Makairo and Kebirigo markets while in the company of Borabu MP Ben Momanyi, Nyamira Wiper party gubernatorial aspirant Justice (Rtd) David Onyancha and parliamentary aspirant Victor Swanya.
