Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka wants President Uhuru Kenyatta to be ‘psychologically’ prepared for an election defeat and subsequently prepare for early retirement to his Gatundu home.
The former vice president is keen on capturing the opposition ticket to wrestle with Uhuru next year and recently challenged Cord leader Raila Odinga to support him in 2017 polls.
Addressing a mammoth crowd at Kemera in Kitutu Masaba on Sunday, Musyoka expressed his optimism of an opposition victory accusing Jubilee of mismanaging the country.
“Our country is being run badly by this corrupt regime. They are scandalous and Kenyans cannot afford to lose public resources to the hands of few. The government has failed to tame corruption and giving them five more years will be disastrous,” he said.
Musyoka added: “Uhuru should be ready for an early retirement to Gatundu and that is a reality which he should psychologically prepare for. I am ready to replace him at State House because my record is very clean.”
Kalonzo was accompanied by Borabu MP Ben Momanyi, Wiper lawyer Steve Mogaka and Kitutu Masaba parliamentary hopeful Victor Swanya.
The team held a series of rallies at Makairo, Kebirigo and Keroka.
