A section of leaders from the party has threatened to defect to other parties in the event that the nominations are not going to be free and fair as promised.

Kitui County called upon the resignation of the Wiper Party Chairman Mr Musila David, who is eyeing the Kitui Gubernatorial seat in the upcoming general elections.

The politicians have threatened to organize countrywide protests in the event that Musila does not present his letter of resignation before the day of nominations.

Addressing the press in Kitui town, eight MCAs claimed that Kalonzos silence over the matter of nominations is causing anxiety among the party members.

These leaders believe that his decision not to shed more light on the way party nominations will be conducted to ensure fairness is likely to lead to massive defections before the next general elections.

MCAs Kimanzi Ngoima, Joseph Kilika, Felix Kinuva, Jacob Maundu, Mwendwa Munyoki, Joseph Sila, Peter Kilonzo, and Nicholas Muthui want Kalonzo to convene a meeting so that he can address the issue before some members ditch the party.

Why as it taken long for the party leader to declare his stand over the nominations? asked Kilonzo, adding: Nominations should not be seen as an issue only affecting Musila.
