Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka should not get tired being in opposition, says Siaya Senator James Orengo.
Orengo said Kalonzo was a respectable leader globally and therefore must equally be respected at home.
“Kalonzo ni mtu wa heshima, usiogope kukaa kwa lami. Nelson Mandela alifungwa jela kwa miaka 27 bila hatia na akawa rais wa South Africa,” said Orengo.
He spoke during the burial of Mavoko MP Patrick Makau’s father, John King’ola at Ngelani village in Machakos sub-county on Friday.
Orengo said the wiper leader can make a good president.
“Raila has said that if he is not the president of Kenya, he who fits to be the head of state is Kalonzo Musyoka,” said Orengo.
“Kalonzo has also said he is willing to work with Raila, those in the opposition can make form the best government,” said Orengo.
He said Kenya could have solved the problem in Southern Sudan if Kalonzo was the president.
“I am sure in 2017 the president if IEBC is reformed is either Raila Odinga or Kalonzo Musyoka,” said Orengo.
He said there would be sanity in the country if Kalonzo becomes the president because nobody will be above the law.
Orengo condemned politicians from jubilee who had called on the Wiper leader to join the ruling coalition ahead of 2017 elections so as to be awarded position of speaker to the national assembly if it again forms the next government.
He said that was being disrespectful to Kalonzo even after transversing the world in favor of President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto during their ICC cases.
Orengo said he is confident Cord will send Jubilee’s administration home in 2017.
