Mwingi Central MCA Mary Sila now wants Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka to intervene into the feuds between Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu and Mwingi Central MP Gideon Mulyungi before it gets out of hand.
Sila said Kalonzo must urgently help cool down the growing tension among supporters of the two politicians.
She addressed the press in her ward on Wednesday.
Sila said the feud between the two famous leaders is not good for Ukambani unity.
“Kalonzo Musyoka must now intervene and talk to these two leaders to bring down the tension among their supporters,” Sila said.
She said the feud is painting bad picture of the Kamba community and could affect Kalonzo’s 2022 plans.
The MCA, however, maintained that MP Mulyungi has to apologize for warning Ngilu against setting her foot in his constituency.
Sila said the MP’s remarks against Ngilu were derogatory, adding that he needs to show respect to the Kitui's county boss.
On Monday, a section of Kitui youth questioned Kalonzo’s silence on the matter argueing he ought to have spoken and castigated the Wiper MP.
On Sunday, Mulyungi allegedly warned Ngilu against setting foot in his constituency without his permission.
Mulyungi claimed that Ngilu has been organizing meetings in his constituency without consulting her.
The Wiper MP also accused Ngilu of allegedly plotting to sabotage Kalonzo Musyoka’s 2022 presidential bid.
Ngilu has since dismissed the MP's warning , saying she does not need his permission to visit Mwingi Central.
