Wiper party leader, Kalonzo Musyoka has argued that education is the backbone of Kenya's future.
Kalonzo urged students to reduce the unrest as it is deteriorating the education sector.
The former vice president took to his social media account, Twitter to post that the ongoing students burning school properties are a threat to the education sector.
He told the Jubilee administration, through the Ministry of Education, to put an end to the student's unrest.
On his Twitter account, Kalonzo posted," education is the backbone of our nation's future. End school fires," read the post.
So far, more than 100 secondary schools have been affected by fires across the country and the government has insisted that schools will not be closed due to the student's unrest.
Kalonzo has been hiding from the public for some time and has not been quoted in the media addressing the wrangles in ODM/Cord. It also seems as though he is laying strategies ahead of 2017 general elections.
The former VP is a Cord co-principal who also has interests to vie for the presidency seat in 2017.
