Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka has urged all Kamba leaders to avoid in-house conflicts and instead work on their unity ahead of 2022 elections.
Kalonzo said constant fights among the leaders will weaken their unity hence cause discord in Wiper and affiliate political parties.
He spoke at a funeral service an Mwingi Central, Kitui County on Saturday.
The former Vice President said Governor Ngilu and himself solved their differences after realizing the Kamba community doesn't need to be led by divided leaders.
"I urge you to sit down and agree, stop fighting among yourselves. Your eyes should be on the trophy and eye for 2022 elections, we must speak in one voice," Kalonzo said.
"There was no bigger grudge than mine and Ngilu's, but we solved our differences. You should do the same," he added.
Kalonzo asked the leaders to respect each other saying there's no bigger leader than the other.
This is after leaders asked Kalonzo to crack the whip on Mwingi Central MP Gideon Mulyungi after he viciously attacked Governor Ngilu sometime back.
Makueni Governor Kivutha Kibwana had threatened to leave Wiper citing lack of respect from some of the party leaders who "called the shots".
Kalonzo swiftly moved to seal the crack in Wiper before the party crumbled.
