Wiper Party Leader Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka and other leaders of the opposition visited the home of Kathiani MP Robert Mbui on Friday after he was allegedly shot by the police during National Super Alliance (NASA) protests in November last year.
The Ukambani political kingpin took to social media to share photos of himself and other leaders while in the backyard on the lawmaker. He said that the party is wishing Mbui quick recovery following the incident
“Earlier today when we visited Hon. Robert Mbui at his Kathiani home, Machakos County.
We continue praying for his full recovery” he wrote on his Facebook account. The party had earlier on condemned the attack on the lawmaker, terming it an attempt to finish him. In a statement read by executive director Jared Siso the party faulted the Jubilee regime over the attack against the lawmaker.
"The violence which led to deaths of more than five Kenyans, occasioned severe injuries on others and led to wanton destruction of property, could have been avoided had the regime cared to follow the law as well as the dictates of the Constitution," he said, as quoted by The Star.
