Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka has warned his party politicians against discussing his 2022 presidential bid.

Kalonzo instead wants the politicians to focus their energy on NASA’s push for electoral reforms agenda.

Speaking to journalists when he visited the family of the late Kitui West MP Francis Nyenze on Thursday, Kalonzo said that 2022 will be irrelevant if the push for electoral reforms does not succeed.

“I don’t want to hear anyone talk about 2022 politics because we have not addressed the issues relating around the 2017 presidential election,” the NASA deputy leader said.

Kalonzo who jetted from Germany on Wednesday said that the country will never have free, fair and transparent presidential election if NASA gives up on push for electoral justice.

He said that NASA has to remain united and focus on its agenda in order to win against impunity and electoral fraud that has been allegedly perpetrated by Jubilee government.

The Wiper Party leader who has declared support for Raila’s planned swearing-in said that he will be rigged out by Jubilee in 2022 if electoral reforms are not implemented.

A section of Wiper politicians led by acting chairperson Kivutha Kibwana have been championing for Kalonzo’s 2022 bid.

Last week Kibwana said that the Party will soon unveil a stagey to ensure Kalonzo wins the 2022 presidential election.

Kalonzo signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Raila Odinga to have him (Kalonzo) fly the NASA ticket in 2022.

There have however been fears that Kalonzo could be shortchanged by Raila after failing to clinch the presidency in the 2017 election.
