The Opposition alliance is keen on using street protests to protect the independence of the Judiciary, NASA presidential running mate Kalonzo Musyoka has said.

Speaking during a Sunday service at PAG church in Kangemi, Kalonzo told President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto to respect the Supreme Court and stop their sustained attacks on Chief Justice David Maraga for nullifying August 8 presidential election.

"We are ready to go back to the streets to protect the independence of the Judiciary. We are ready for teargas once again," Kalonzo said, as quoted by The Nation.

Jubilee leaders have constantly criticised the September 1 ruling, with President Kenyatta describing the decision to overturn his victory as a 'monstrous injustice' and a 'judicial coup'.

"A coup in Kenya has just been done by the four people in the Supreme Court. The court is saying the numbers don't matter, it is processes that matter," the Head of State said on Thursday, last week.
