The Wajir tour comes after the opposition leaders under Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho campaigned in Garissa in a bid to back Wiper Party’s Farah Maalim as he looks forward to unseating Majority Leader Aden Duale.

The leaders were accompanied by their political friends Wiper deputy party leader Farah Maalim and Wajir Governor Ahmed Abdullahi.

They spoke to residents at the Orahey grounds where they expressed optimism that Cord will send home President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto when that time comes.

The former vice president assured residents that the region has the ability of register more than 100,000 voters as projected and they were out to “ensure the number exceeds 200,000.”

Kalonzo also called upon non-locals living in Wajir to register as voters in the region rather than wasting time to travel back to their homes.

During the same tour, Wiper Party Patron faulted the current government for selective justice while urging the residents to back their fight to dethrone UhuRuto during the upcoming general elections.
