A section of Wiper Party leaders has endorsed National Super Alliance (NASA) deputy flag bearer Hon. Kalonzo Musyoka's 2022 presidential bid. Speaking on Thursday at Late Nyenze's home where he flanked Musyoka for late last respect, Deputy party leader Farah Maalim said Kalonzo should be given preference come 2022.He added that the Wiper Party leader has made enough sacrifices since 2007 and should, therefore, be allowed to be the NASA flag bearer in the next general elections. "He sacrificed in 2007, in 2013 and in 2017. This time we are hoping, we are demanding, we are expecting everybody else to sacrifice for Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka,” Maalim stated as quoted by Kenyans.co.keMaalim's sentiments were echoed by Makueni Governor Professor Kivutha Kibuana noting that Kenyans should know that Musyoka's candidature is not a joke. “NASA sat and there was a Memorandum of Understanding that in 2022, Raila Odinga will not vie. Both of you had an agreement that was taken to the US by Prof Makau Mutua that he will support you,” Governor Kivutha stated. All other parliamentarians who flanked Musyoka on Thursday said the NASA coalition does not equally assign top posts to the different parties forming the coalition citing that posts which were to be occupied by wiper leaders have been occupied by ODM parliamentarians.
