The Mwingi Central MP Gideon Mulyungi has rubbished President Uhuru Kenyatta’s New Year Message. Speaking on Thursday, the lawmaker said that the message of the head of state was full of lies and empty rhetoric.
Mulyungi, who is among the fiercest critics of the Jubilee regime, said that the President has proven beyond doubt that he lacks what it takes to change this nation. He also said that Uhuru never accomplished the Promises he made when he was campaigning for his first term in office. "None of this was evident in my constituency during Jubilee Party's first term in power," he said on Thursday, as quoted by The Star.
He argued that his constituency’s residents have nothing to smile about whenever they hear about the Jubilee regime because the political outfit has failed them completely.
"For the last five years, my constituency has not had even a single kilometre of tarmac or any mega projects, " he added. He further challenged the President to tour his backyard to see the poor state of affairs.
"I am inviting the President to tour my constituency and show residents the massive development he claimed to have actualized across the nation."
