Speaking at The God News Church at Ndatani trading centre in Ikanga/Kyatune ward in Kitui suth sub-county on Wednesday, said that it took Grace of God and popularity to floor the senator in one of the most watched nominations at the county level.

The senator opted to contest for the seat as an Independent candidate ahead of the forthcoming general elections. He also resigned as the chairman of Wiper Party while citing frustrations from the former vice president Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka.

Musila lamented that Kalonzo had a soft spot for Malombe. He further faulted him for influencing the nominations of the region.  Malombe has exuded confidence that he will beat Musila with a huge margin when that time comes. Former Lands Minister Charity Kaluki Ngilu has also joined the race for the area’s governorship.

In Machakos Gubernatorial race, Kalonzo, now NASA deputy President also landed 9in trouble with a section of leaders from County who accused him of imposing leaders on the people. The Ukambani has, however distanced himself from the accusations.
