Wiper deputy party leader Shakila Abdalla has poked holes in President Uhuru Kenyatta's inauguration speech.Shakila termed Uhuru’s speech as a mockery of the rule of law, the country's constitution and democracy.Speaking to journalists in Lamu Town on Tuesday, Shakila accused Uhuru of allegedly preaching water and drinking wine.The former Lamu Women Rep said Uhuru's assertion that he will lead according to the rule of law and constitution is ironical because his government continues to entertain impunity and police brutality.She said Uhuru is not keen on championing the rule of law in the country."If President Kenyatta means what he says he should end the impunity and brutality being exercised by the police on the opposition leaders and their supporters," she said.Shakila claimed that Uhuru is using the police to intimidate people who are opposed to his style of leadership.She said the brutality that has been meted on NASA supporters and leaders by police in the recent past is worrying.Shakila accused Uhuru of speaking to please the international community while his administration continues to undermine rule of law, human rights and democracy.She said Kenyans are tired of Jubilee’s hypocrisy, adding that the push for reforms has now gained momentum.The former Lamu woman rep said NASA will not be intimidated adding that the Jubilee government will feel the heat soon.During his swearing-in ceremony at Kasarani on Tuesday, Uhuru pledged to uphold the rule of law and human rights.The President said his government will respect the rights and freedoms of all Kenyans.
