Prof Paul Musili Wambua, Wiper Party leader Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka’s former law partner in the defunct Musyoka and Wambua Company Advocates, has promised President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto a half a million votes from the three Ukambani counties in the forthcoming general polls.

Wambua, who is heading a lobby group named Woni, is set meet President Kenyatta alongside other top civil servants, professionals and businessmen from Ukambani area on Thursday to decide the way forward as they seek to rally the electorate behind the current government ahead of the August polls.

“Our target is now 500,000 votes for the President and that will be a comfortable figure if we achieve it; it will be much more than what the Jubilee duo got in 2013,” Mr Kithyaka told the Sunday Nation.

Kalonzo former partner also said that they have already managed to recruit more than 3000 persons from different parts of Ukambani to woo votes to back Jubilee government for another term in office.

“We are able to advise Jubilee leadership objectively and correctly on the dynamics on the ground because we are not interested in any political positions, and we’ve already recruited 3,000 foot soldiers to help in mobilization,” he added.
