Kalonzo Musyoka Foundation has taken a bold step to unfreeze its accounts. The Foundation has gone to court challenging the Non-governmental (NGO) Coordination Board decision to freeze its I&M Bank accounts.

Through its lawyer Albert Murambi, the entity has stated that the May 2 order was unconstitutional because it lacked any court order backing.

Musyoka’s foundation has sort legal orders that will bar the Fazul led body from interfering with its operations. It wants the regulatory body to be barred from deregistering it. Its lawyer argues that the directive has curtailed smooth running of the foundation.

“Unless the matter is heard urgently and corrective orders issued the foundation will suffer irreparable harm and injury,” said Murambi in court documents as quoted by Mediamax.

Kalonzo Musyoka Foundation has stated that it has never failed to file its annual financial returns since registration in 2005. It claims that it has carried out humanitarian and charitable work in a transparent manner.

Meanwhile, NASA presidential running mate Kalonzo Musyoka accused DP William Ruto of being behind his woes. He warned Ruto against misusing state powers something that the DP denied. He asked Musyoka to take responsibility instead of looking for a scapegoat.
