Wiper Party Leader Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka has asked leaders of the National Super Alliance (NASA) to remain focused ahead of the launch of the people’s assembly in Machakos County on Friday. The former vice president dismissed claims that the opposition is fighting to share power with the Jubilee leadership.
Kalonzo, who was NASA Presidential running mate in the August polls, said that President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto need to embrace dialogue before it’s too late. He further said that the opposition’s main aim is to end electoral injustice in the nation. The Ukambani political kingpin warned that the nation is likely to plunge into chaos if the necessary measures are not taken between the two divides.
"Let’s be forthright in what we want for this country as a Party and Coalition. We want equity and end to the electoral fraud that has dominated every election period in this country,” he said.
Kalonzo added:"We must be careful not to do things that may cause bloodshed in this country.”
The remarks of the former vice president come after Former Prime Minister Raila Amolo Odinga vowed to take oath of office and leave the nation for the sake of liberating Kenyans from what he termed as poor governance.
