Wiper Party Patron Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka has called upon supporters of the National Super Alliance (NASA) to remain calm ahead of the planned swearing-in of Former Prime Minister, Raila Amolo Odinga as the people’s president.
Speaking to journalists at his home in Karen, Nairobi, Kalonzo said that there is no cause for alarm after his security team was withdrawn. The Ukambani political kingpin, however, did not reveal whether the swearing-in ceremony will go as planned.
"I don’t want to say about that right now. This tactical withdrawal by the police, we don’t know. But our supporters must remain calm," he said.
The Former Vice President also launched a scathing attack against the government over the shutdown of media houses as plans to take an oath of office continue.
"This is a very important struggle so we are still consulting. The media is under serious attack and we must tell our people what is happening," Mr Musyoka said.
The leaders of the opposition have maintained that they will not relent in their quest to liberate the nation from what they term as poor governance.
