Wiper Party Leader Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka has condemned the withdrawal of his security team and that of National Super Alliance (NASA) Presidential candidate Raila Amolo Odinga.
The former vice president said that the withdrawal of his security is illegal and driven by ill motives. "Withdrawal of my security and that of Raila is illegal," said Kalonzo, as quoted by Standard.
His remarks were reiterated by Raila who said President Uhuru Kenyatta is not doing him a favor by providing him security.
“I woke up to find my security and that of Kalonzo withdrawn. I'm entitled to security and I will enjoy it, not at the behest or sympathy of (President) Uhuru Kenyatta,” said Odinga.
On his part, ODM chairman John Mbadi has said that Uhuru will be held accountable in the event that anything happens to Raila and his running mate Kalonzo.
“President Kenyatta should know that if anything happens to our principals, we shall blame him,” Mbadi said.
This comes after NASA leaders and supporters took to the streets in protest for the resignation of Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) CEO Ezra Chiloba.
