Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has called on residents of his Ukambani backyard to remain steadfast in the National Super Alliance (NASA) as the August 8 General Election draws near.
Kalonzo, the NASA presidential running mate, said the opposition alliance led by the former Prime Minister Raila Odinga is ready to dislodge from power Jubilee's President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto.
"The animal is now in a strategic position and the hunter must shoot without missing," he said addressing supporters in his Kitui County home turf on Monday.
The former Vice President urged residents to come out in large numbers to vote for Raila, insisting that every registered voter must cast their ballot to give the NASA candidate an edge over President Kenyatta.
"This will be a very divine election and we must come out to vote while looking at 2022. We are at the finish line, so do not despair," he was quoted by Standard Digital.
He said opposition supporters must be on the lookout during the election day to protect their votes against rigging.
"You must remain vigilant and ready to execute citizen arrests against people hell bent on subverting the popular will of Kenyans," Kalonzo added.
He was accompanied by Governor Julius Malombe, Wiper's Machakos governorship candidate Wavinya Ndeti, and MP aspirants Gideon Mulyungi (Mwingi Central) and his counterpart, Charles Nguna (Mwingi West).
