There was confusion after reports emerged that Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka’s name was in the list of presidential candidates.
Kalonzo was named as Raila Odinga’s running mate by the National Super Alliance (Nasa) on April 27 at Uhuru Park, Nairobi.
Before the Nasa unveiling, the Wiper Party had endorsed the former vice president as its presidential candidate.
In the list published by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) on Thursday, Kalonzo is Wiper’s presidential candidate.

However, speaking on the revelation, Wiper secretary general Hassan Omar said there was no cause for alarm.
Omar said Wiper submitted Kalonzo’s name to IEBC prior to the Nasa deal.
