After being away from the country for months, Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka is now the focus of attention in the country's political circles.
Kenyans are curious to see his next course of action after being away from active politics for that period of time considering he was a DP candidate in the August general election.
Kalonzo's nightmare will be between choosing to move on with President Uhuru Kenyatta's win or continuing to join forces with Raila Odinga is preaching the 'illegitimacy' of President Uhuru Kenyatta in office.
His Wiper party has already expressed dissatisfaction with their NASA sibling ODM headed by Raila; attention is now on Kalonzo to see whether he will arbitrate between the two parties or will further lead the break-away that threatens to split NASA.
Should he continue to work with Raila, will he be the one commanding the dance because of his 2022 ambitions or he will still remain a deputy even in the post-2017 era?
The Wiper leader stands on a loose ground.
Acknowledging Uhuru as president and staying away from the planned swearing-in might be the most logical option he has - but what are the consequences?
He risks being labelled a traitor from within the very same coalition that has supported him through.
In case he breaks away from the 'oppressive' ODM and its leader Raila, what will happen to his support base in ODM strongholds?
But on the other hand, what realistic options does he have?
Can the planned swearing-in change any fact that he is not the DP of Kenya?
