Wiper politicians have advised their party leader Kalonzo Musyoka on how he can succeed in his presidential bid, which he launched more than two decades ago.

This is after Kalonzo, on Wednesday, challenged the leaders to 'start strategising for Wiper to be in government in 2022'.

The former Vice President threw the challenge as his opening remarks during a closed-door meeting at Panari Hotel, Nairobi.

In return, led by Wiper Chairman Kivutha Kibwana, the leaders told Kalonzo to stick with opposition leader Raila Odinga and support the swearing-in plans, The Standard reports.

"For the sake of your political ambitions, you must take oath alongside Raila as it will help you inherit his support base in 2022," an MP told the NASA co-principal.

Makueni Senator Mutula Kilonzo Junior urged the party to look for ways of reuniting with a couple of leaders who ditched Wiper, particularly from Ukambani and Coast regions.

"We must work towards bringing back those who have left for a stronger 2022 team," Kilonzo said.

Kibwana urged Kalonzo to 'grab' the opportunity to lead dialogue between Uhuru and Raila, in case the ruling party invites NASA for dialogue.

"We have told our party leader, because of his history, to take leadership of the dialogue process within NASA when the Jubilee side is ready to talk," said the Makueni Governor.
