Today I talk to you about my hope for the future and my vision for the kind of country we can build together.
I am speaking to you today against a backdrop of runaway corruption presided over by the Jubilee regime.
The task ahead for the next president of the Republic of Kenya has been made a lot more difficult by an administration that cares little, if at all, about the greater good of the ordinary Mwananchi.
There is a widespread and growing feeling of mistrust of politicians.
Most Kenyans believe that politicians are loud on promises but silent on delivery.
Most Kenyans believe that the political class is intoxicated with power.
Most Kenyans believe that the Jubilee regime spends most of the time plotting and plundering.
Most Kenyans believe it is time for change. And most Kenyans are right.
There is an old saying that: "Your words mean nothing if your actions do not match."
So, I want to assure all of you that my words today can and will be turned into action.
But to succeed, we must all embrace change.
Real, revolutionary change. I know what it means. I know what it looks like. Let's get our country back on the right footing.
