Mr Kalonzo Musyoka, while speaking in Mombasa on Sunday during Coast's second convention of the People's Assembly said Godec should focus on "uniting [US President Donald] Trump".
“We should not be convinced [to drop swearing-in plans] by other countries. Godec says he is uniting people, he should first unite Trump,” Kalonzo said.
He added that the US is under shutdown and protests are all over yet Godec sees no crisis.
The US diplomat met NASA National Assembly and Senate leadership on January 9,2018 and urged them to drop Raila-Kalonzo swearing in slated for January 30th.
Mr Godec said that there was a need for structured talks between President Uhuru Kenyatta and NASA’s Raila Odinga to help the country to shift focus to other developmental issues. However, Senate minority leader Moses Wetangula and his ODM counterpart John Mbadi maintained that the plan can only be abandoned if State engages in dialogue on electoral reforms.
