Speaking in an interview on JKL Wednesday, the former Vice President who was the rallying mate to the coalition's Presidential flag bearer Raila Odinga maintained that they won the election but their victory was stripped off by a ruling by the Supreme Court that upheld the victory of the now ruling Uhuruto administration.

''We never lost the election, everybody knows what happened,'' said the leader.

Kalonzo maintained that the Supreme Court 6-judge bench under the leadership of retired Chief Justice Willy Mutunga made an unfair ruling after the alliance moved to court to challenge the announcement made by the national polls body Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission that the Raila Odinga led team had lost in the Presidential poll.He further maintained that the opposition under the new National Super Alliance (NASA) is keen on preventing the same from repeating.

''The Supreme Court ruling was unfair, despite our lawyer Kethi Kilonzo giving out facts challenging the defeat the judges still gave an unfair ruling. However,we are keen on avoiding such this time and that is why we want to establish our own tallying center in the coming polls,'' said the former Vice President.

The election that was held on the 4th of April 2014 saw President Uhuru Kenyatta carry the day after scooping 6,173,433 votes against Raila Odinga's 5,340,546.
