Speaking in an interview on Citizen TV Monday, Kaluma said that on most occasions, Kenyans do not come out to participate in the exercise to show solidarity to their beloved leaders or to give a nod to their manifesto and visions but rather to send home a poorly performed administration.
''People don't come out to vote for something but to vote against something,'' said Kaluma who maintained that the ruling Jubilee government will be the victim this time round.
He maintained that the President Uhuru Kenyatta-led team has failed in its mandate and the citizens are more than eager to replace it with another administration which in this case is the opposition under its National Super Alliance (NASA) umbrella.
''Everything is being looked at against the Jubilee government because it has failed to deliver,'' said the MP.
Kaluma also maintained that his alliance which will be represented by former Premier Raila Odinga in the presidential race will have an easy job sailing past Jubilee because the government has driven the nation deeper into corruption, debts and is not willing to address problems facing Kenyans.
''We have a light task in winning the elections because Kenyans need change,'' he said.
