Speaking in his constituency after he was cleared by the IEBC to contest Tiatty Parliamentary seat on Party for Development Reforms-PDR, Kamama said every politicians must be responsible during campaign period.

“I want to give this caution that all politicians from whichever party in Tiatty must conduct campaigns in a very peaceful manner” said Kamama.

The Tiatty Legislator who is also the chair Security committee in the National Assembly also called on all politicians across the nation to ensure peaceful campaigns and avert any acts that might lead to violence.

While reiterating the need for peaceful coexistence, Kamama assured the Jubilee Governmnet of his support in ensuring a second term for President Uhuru Kenyatta.

He also called on the local administrators among them chiefs and their assistants to ensure every leader at the grass root level preaches peace before during and after elections.

His sentiments were echoed by former Assistant Minister Joseph Lotodo who is also an MCA candidate in the area.

Lotodo was categorical that security of Baringo is a collective responsibility of the leaders, security agents as well as the residents and therefore vowed to ensure that collaboration if elected.

“We need to collaborate as leaders to ensure that there is coexistence of our communities in Baringo” he said.

The two leaders vowed to be peace ambassadors in the area if elected in the upcoming August 8th General polls.
