Party of National Unity (PNU) National Chairman John Kamama has dared Meru governor Peter Munya to form his own party or follow his Alliance Party of Kenya (APK) members.
Speaking at PNU office in Nakuru, Kamama said PNU is joining the Jubilee merger despite rebellion from other party members including former chair, Jeremiah Kioni who has openly said the party will front candidates in all positions apart from the presidency.
“Munya has never been a member of PNU. He belongs to APK and should follow his members including Kiraitu Murungi into the new bus. He can alternatively form his own party like governors Alfred Mutua or Isaac Ruto,” Kamama said.
He added that the party leader, former President Mwai Kibaki has endorsed merger of the party to form Jubilee Party (JP).
“When Kibaki was in Nakuru early this month during the burial of former MP, Mark Mwithaga, he told me that PNU's mission was to unite all Kenyans which JP is doing,” Kamama continued.
