Tiaty MP Asman Kamama has denied links to the controversial murder of his competitor Pepee Kitambaa and Loyamorok MCA Kibet Cheretei.
The two were killed by unknown assailants on Friday night at a local pub in Margat town, and their vehicles were subsequently torched.
But in a quick rejoinder, Kamama, who also doubles as National Assembly Security Committee Chair said he had nothing to do with the deaths of the two politicians.
“I cannot do that because at the scene of the attack, quite a number of people sited there are associated with me. To say that I am behind the deaths, it’s untrue. I believe in meeting with people on the ballot and squaring out with them,” he said.
Kamama, who was speaking in Mombasa on Saturday added: “We will not condone such killings. All security agencies should investigate the matter and bring culprits into books.”
Mr. Kitambaa, an Engineer by profession, was set to face off with Kamama in Jubilee nominations slated later on April this year.
