Party of National Union National Chairman John Kamama Mbugua has warned its’ aspirants to be wary of people impersonating PNU officials.
Speaking in Nakuru , Kamama said there are individuals imposing themselves as party officials citing Governor Peter Munya and some of the members who are acting as PNU members yet they were not.
According to Kamama, the Bank Account the impersonators are using is under banking fraud investigations and therefore urged the party members to be patient as the matter is being sorted out through arbitration.
Kamama also called on all landlords concerns with PNU offices to be careful saying only the Chairman and the Secretary General can sign the documents through a resolution of the National Executive Council.
“The direction of the tribunal was that the party to have issues sorted out through arbitration. We would like to warn those imposing as party officials including Governor Munya and his team. The landlords letting their houses as well as aspirants should also be careful on these impostors,” said Kamama.
While insisting that the PNU party leader is still retired President Mwai Kibaki with chairman being him (Kamama),he called on the party members to be patient as the matter affecting the party is sorted out out.
Kamama said the will of President Uhuru Kenyatta was very clear for parties to merge but then there was no need of using force to do so, rather there was need for an agreement.
“PNU party leader is still Mwai Kibaki and I the National Chairman. We cannot use force to merge but then we are calling on our members as well as the aspirants to be patient as we sort out the matter,” said Kamama.
Kamama spoke after a court ruling on February 9, 2017 concerning the way forward for the party.
