Mr Kamanda recently claimed that Odinga was being funded by foreign nations to destabilise President Uhuru Kenyatta’s government.

But in a phone interview with the reporter, Otara accused Kamanda of being ‘myopic’ and blamed him on subjecting Kenyans to ‘unwarranted tension.

“I am shocked by Kamanda’s remarks about my party leader Raila Odinga. It’s a bit reckless and unfortunate for a leader of such caliber to come out in public and mark very incriminating remarks about a respected global leaders,” she said.

“She owes Kenyans an apology because such remarks bring unnecessary tension. Raila is basically doing his job of keeping the government in check which is the constitutional right of any opposition in a democratic state,” she added.

Otara warned parliamentarians against making divisive remarks and called for dialogue over the stalemate surrounding electoral body IEBC.

“As MPs, we must be guided by unquestionable morals and integrity. We must be always lead by example and trivialising sensitive issues cannot help. We should embrace dialogue over IEBC for the sake of the countries stability,” Otara added.
