President Uhuru Kenyatta during a recent campaign in Nakuru county. The Kamba community in Nakuru on Wednesday declared their support for Jubilee.
The Jubilee Party on Wednesday got another boost after more than 1000 members of the Kamba community living in Nakuru County declared their support.
In a press conference, the community led by their Chairman Gerald Kilonzo said that the decision to back Jubilee party was informed by the fact that they reside in Nakuru and draw their livelihood from the county.
“It is impossible for us Kambas in Nakuru to align ourselves with those in the eastern part of the country because we have different ideologies and therefore we are stating we will back Jubilee Party,” he said.
According to Kilonzo, the community has formed committees in all the eleven sub-counties of Nakuru in order to drum up support for President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Sentiments echoed by Anne King’otole from Nakuru town west who said they will use their resources to campaign for President Uhuru ahead of the repeat polls.
They were welcomed by Nakuru deputy governor Dr. Erick Korir and Nakuru county Jubilee party chairman David Manyara who lauded the community for their move.
